Physical activity of the population and the motives of physical culture and sports in the analyzed publications were determined using questionnaires. The results showed the ambiguity of assessing the level of physical activity of the population due to the lack of a common approach for its determination in various countries. The number of physically inactive population ranges from 10% to 80%. The physical activity of women is lower than men's. Not confirmed the thesis of the world health organization on a higher level of physical activity of the population in developed countries, compared with countries with low income. Physical activity depends on the implemented in the countries of state programs. The motives of physical culture and sports of the adult population do not differ in our country and abroad.physical activityadult populationmotiveshealth and fitness activitiesthe sphere of physical culture and sportsabroadфизическая активностьвзрослое населениемотивыфизкультурно-оздоровительная деятельностьсфера физической культуры и спортазарубежье[Андреева Е.
