On the example of the Gulf Stream, the influence of currents on the climate of northern continents is considered. Climatic norm for the temperature of parallels corresponding to latitudes of the Gulf Stream has been identified. The influence of the Gulf Stream not only on coastal areas of North America and Eurasia, but also on the territories of Europe and Asia distant-located from the ocean has been analyzed
