Antonov N.V., Ivanova O.A.

Abstract

The article presents the results of a study of the practice of teachers’ professional development in the context of digitalization of education carried out in order to identify the features of teachers’ professional development and the main conceptual ideas implemented in different countries. The article examines the practice of teachers’ professional development in other countries as well as in a number of Russian regions. The analysis of pedagogical literature and scientific articles was carried out using the method of apperception and the descriptive method. The use of apperception method allowed us to expand information about the existing professional development practices implemented in different countries and regions. The use of descriptive method in working with scientific literature made it possible to select articles based on keywords, “descriptors”. In this study, the following phrases were used as descriptors: “professional development of teachers”, “concepts of professional development of teachers”, “advanced training of teachers”, “practice of professional development of teachers”. As a result, practices of teachers’ professional development have been identified that have both similar conceptual ideas and some national or regional features. Two of the conceptual ideas reflected in almost all countries are particularly noteworthy: that of continuity and that of personalization of teachers’ professional development in the context of education digitalization. Implementation of these ideas makes it possible to ensure continuous professional development of a teacher taking into account his or her professional experience, expertise, professional competencies and interests, as well as the interests and demands of the educational organization in which he or she works. The implementation of these ideas is carried out through integration of formal and non-formal education, as well as through self-education and self-development of teachers in the context of education digitalization.

Sokolova I.V.

Abstract

The pandemic announced in the world requires non-standard solutions from teachers to implement a full-fledged educational process in the higher education system of the Russian Federation. The academic discipline “Physical Culture and Sports” is no exception. The use of accessible and modern wellness programs in the classroom is necessary for the full maintenance and strengthening of students ' health, increasing their motor activity during the day. Special responsibility is assigned to teachers who are able to organize a competent educational process in the context of distance learning, while observing all the principles of teaching. Modern information technologies have made it possible to conduct training sessions online on the Mirapolis platform. To do this, we used selected wellness programs published on YouTube, the Fitify program and the Pacer pedometer. Students studied under the guidance of a teacher, using a video link. Thus, the teacher could not only control the correctness of the exercises, but also adjust the programs. At the end of the semester of distance learning in the discipline “Physical Culture and Sports”, a survey of students was conducted, the purpose of which was to analyze the degree of their satisfaction with the organization and methodology of classes. The greatest difficulties in physical education (6.3% of respondents) were caused by 1st year students, nevertheless, the motivation for physical education has not changed. More than 50% of respondents are satisfied with the received physical activity in distance classes. Among the positive aspects of distance learning were noted: the absence of the need to spend time on the way to and from the place of study and, as a result, the availability of more free time – 79%, low risk of infection (71%), the opportunity to study at an individual pace (56%). For 40% of respondents, it is an opportunity to use modern technologies. Thus, the results showed that the majority of students adapted well to the organization of distance learning at SPbGUP, including in the discipline “physical culture and sports”.

In today's changing conditions, the problem of training professional personnel is relevant all over the world and for all professional fields. One of the ways to solve this problem is the study and development of the theory and practice of supra-professional competencies as an additional resource for the professional development of a labor subject. The article presents the results of a theoretical analysis of various approaches to determining the content of the concept of "supra-professional competencies"; options for classifying these competencies; discusses the results of an empirical study to assess the formation of supra-professional competencies among students. Ibragimova L.A., Sarapulova A.E.

Abstract

The article is devoted to the exploration of the characteristics of pedagogical listening being an essential part of the foreign language teacher’s communication activity and requiring special concern within the system of future professionals training. The study aims to make a case for the need for the pedagogical listening competence to be subjected to focused development during the foreign language teacher’s professional training. The first part of the article provides the definition of professional pedagogical listening and an analysis of the functions and peculiarities of teacher’s listening covered in the Russian and foreign scientific literature. The assumption is made that pedagogical listening has its own specifics based on the teacher’s subject area. The second part of the paper describes the function and peculiarities characteristic of the foreign language teacher’s listening. As a result, a number of features inherent to the foreign language teacher’s listening were highlighted. The analysis revealed that those features bring about some difficulties associated with the pedagogical listening implemented by a foreign language teacher, which requires the teacher to have special skills. The results suggest that the pedagogical listening competence requires focused development during the foreign language teacher’s professional training. The training process containing the components aimed at the development of that competence will provide higher quality training of future professionals and increase graduates’ capacity to perform their professional activities. The implementation of the task apparently calls for the development of proper scientific and methodological support, which should be considered as one of the promising lines of research on this field.
