Echoes of 1591 crimean raid on Moscow in southern uyezds of Russia (About the origin of a chapter from the New chronicle)
Abstract
Commenting on the chapter from the New Chronicle of the late 1620s, the greatest work of the official chronicle writing created under “the first Romanov”, which is concerned with the repercussions of the Crimean Tatar khan Gazi-Giray’s raid on Moscow, the author proves that this chapter mirrors both speculation, widely spread in the southern districts of Russia shortly after the Tatars’ hasty retreat, and evidence from state records.

Moscow-Kazan relations in 1478
Abstract
The article is devoted to the military conflict between Moscow state and Kazan khanate in 1478. The author has marked out points of view from various sources and has explained the differences. He came to the conclusion that the Moscow-Kazan war of 1478 was a result of continuous struggle for Vyatka land.

On L.A.Tikhomirov’s pseudonym and its attribution to poetry works
Abstract
The present article dwells upon poetry, as a little known area of literary activity of revolutionist L.A.Tikhomirov. On conducting literary analysis of various types, the author was able to attribute Tikhomirov’s authorship to some poetry works (including those written under a pseudonym).

While searching for connection between Byzantine coin business and religious reforms of the first Heraclideses , the author came to a conclusion that the victories achieved by Heraclius I (610-641) not only led to adoption of a new imperial title — «βασιλεύς», but were also reflected in monetary emission.
