Archaeological periodization and systematization of the aeneolithic in the russian historiography (till the end of 1980s)
Abstract
The article elaborates upon historiography of the Aeneolithic period in terms of archeological periodization and systematization used till the end of 1980s. The paper considers all the points of view at that time regarding definition of the time frame of the Aeneolithic period. The author’s proposed solution to the issue is described.

On the history of russian opinion journalism during the first years of post «time of troubles» period
Abstract
Contrary to recent opinions, “The Tale of Muskovite days, tzars and saints” (Russian: “Словеса дней, царей и святителей московских”; Slovesa dney, tzarey y svyatiteley moskovskikh ) - a remarkable work of the Russian opinion journalism created during post “time of troubles” period - should be attributed to knyaz (royal nobility rank) I.A.Khvorostinin. It’s believed that the copyist didn’t make a mistake with a title “The Tales of the victories of Muscovite State” as it was the author’s intention to tell the reader about the recent hardships that the country went through.

Military organization of Turin uyezd in XVII century
Abstract
The article examines the military organization of Turin uyezd in the XVII century. It is shown that Turin “ostrog” in it’s early years did not have a garrison. It was created in 1614 when fifty men of Streltsy unit were transferred to Turin ostrog in addition to children of Boyars, artillerymen and interpreters. Most of the service class men of Turin ostrog performed various services in Siberian towns and within the uyezd borders.

Improvement of soviet-german relations in august and september of 1939: attitudes of ordinary soviet citizens
Abstract
From the first day of validity of Soviet-German non-aggression Pact USSR launched political and ideological campaign, aiming to form a positive image of Hitler's Germany. Many Soviet citizens were dissatisfied with the treaty which highly contrasted previous anti-fascist rhetorics of the Soviet propaganda.

Attribution of two lead seals found in Southwestern Crimea
Abstract
Our study dealt with attribution of two early medieval Byzantine lead seals found in the recent years in the Southwestern Crimea. They attracted our attention because their reverses are stamped with Greek block monograms, and at the moment we’re developing technique to decipher them. We submit our findings for scientific discussion.

Development of the navy in the USA and in the Soviet Union since the end of the World War II

The paper considers the “Cold War” context of the U.S. and Soviet Navy development, describes tactical and technical characteristics of aircraft carriers. It is noted that during the World War II, the U.S.A. gained considerable experience in construction and exploitation of aircraft carriers, including installment of nuclear reactors on ships of that class.
